14 months old

Dear James,
You are 14 months old today and are getting to be such a big boy! You are becoming more and more independent each day. Your big brother and sister are here for the summer and you love having them around! They are a big help to mommy too and have so much fun playing with you. All you want to do is play outside so they take turns pushing you on your swing. We have also had a great time swimming! You love the water and being in the pool. You go to Mother's Day Out at Wilshire Baptist on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-2:30 and have so much fun with your friends and teachers. There was a three week break in June and you were with mommy the whole time so this first week back you cried when I dropped you off, both days! Miss Pam said you were fine as soon as I left and had a great day but it still made me sad. Hopefully next week will be better. You are studying farm animals at school and you finger painted for the first time! It is a pig on pink construction paper that you painted brown. Of course I proudly hung it on the refrigerator!

So James Peyton, what are you up to at 14 months old???

You are 32 1/2" tall and weigh 25 lbs

You have 6 teeth-the top four front and bottom middle two

You wear a size 4 diaper

You wear size 12-18 month clothing

You wear a size 6 shoe and I know we will be buying size 7's fall!

You LOVE shoes now! Your bring us your shoes to put on and also if I take off my shoes you try to put them back on my feet.

You are the best eater and still love fruit. This week strawberries and grapes are your favorites.

You drink organic whole milk, about 22 ounces a day

You nap once a day for 2 hours, usually from 12:00-2:00

You eat dinner at 7:00 then we read books, bath is at 8:00, and bedtime is 8:30

You LOVE reading books again! Your favorite is First 100 Words. You love the "things that go" page and always point to the airplane and motorcycle. You are such a boy! =)

You pretend to talk on the phone and hold your hand to your ear or mommy's cell phone and say, "Hello? Hello?" but it sounds like Hellaahh? Hellaahh? We are working on the long "o" sound!

You now run everywhere and still love to climb. I was cooking dinner and heard you in the dining room. You had pulled out a chair and I was not surprised to find you standing proudly on top of it.

You still imitate the dogs barking by puckering your lips and saying "ooof! ooof!" Sometimes Coco will be following you around and you turn and bark at her.

We love you so much and can't wait to see what is in store for us next month!

Love,
Mommy
