One month old

Dear Michael,

You are one month old today! We have had a wonderful first month together and you are such a good baby. We came home from the hospital on Friday January 21st when you were 3 days old. The next morning your big brother woke up with the flu so we had to go to Grandma-ma and Papa's house in Fort Worth for four days. They loved having us and thought it was so special to spend time with you. Your big brother wasn't too sure about you when we came home but I can tell he already loves you so much. James asks to see you as soon as he wakes up in the morning and when he comes home from school. If he finds a paci he brings it to me and says Myul. He kisses you on the head good night and pats you on the head or shoulder if you are fussy. I want to enjoy every moment of you being a baby but I can't wait until you and your big brother can play together!

So Michael Scott, what are you up to at one month old?

You are 23 1/2 inches long and weigh a little over 9 lbs

You have SO much hair! That is what everyone comments on and thinks you are very cute

Your eyes were a dark blue grey when you were born but are now turning brown, just like your big brother's!

You wore size NB clothes the first two weeks and are now in size 0-3 months

You have two size NB diapers left and then will be in size 1

You are lifting up your head and turning it from side to side

You love being on your tummy

You like swinging in your swing and love white noise

You love to snuggle, which is Mommy's favorite thing to do with you

You like your paci/binky (Mommy & Daddy call it a binky but James calls it a paci)

You love to have your hands on your face

You do not like to be swaddled with your arms down. You have to have your elbows bent tucked close in to your chest with your little hands touching your chin.

You eat about every three hours except at night-you can now sleep 4-5 hours before you wake up hungry. This makes Mommy very happy because that means Mommy gets to sleep a little longer.

Words cannot express how much we love you and how excited we are that you are finally here! We can't wait to see how you grow and change in month two.

Love,
Mommy
